Hi. My name is Tanya Moorehead. I am an Associate Professor of Special Education and my research focuses on creating successful inclusive learning environments for all students. I am also the coordinator for the Holmes Program, which involves mentoring students from underrepresented populations. I began my career in special education, and was the 2006 Bloomfield Teacher of The Year. I earned my Exceptional Education Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida and my Special Education M.A. from the University of Connecticut. In addition to teaching full time I actively support school districts to improve their inclusive teaching practices through engaging professional developments and teacher coaching.
